JICA President Kitaoka meets with a group of U.S. representatives

On Sept. 21, JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka met with Rep. Ted Yoho, chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, Committee on Foreign Affairs and other members of the United States House of Representatives at JICA Headquarters in Tokyo.

Mr. Kitaoka began the meeting by introducing JICA's initiatives in the Indo-Pacific region. Mr. Yoho gave an overview of a development finance institution being set up in the U.S. and then discussed with Mr. Kitaoka the possibility of a partnership between JICA and the U.S. institution in the Indo-Pacific region.

JICA will cooperate with the U.S. to contribute to the development of developing countries.
