JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka held talks with Burkina Faso President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré on Nov. 20 in Tokyo.
Mr. Kaboré began the talks by expressing appreciations for JICA's development cooperation in Burkina Faso and hope for future cooperation. Mr. Kaboré and Mr. Kitaoka also discussed various cooperation projects including (i) the construction of junior high schools, (ii)a bypass in Ouagadougou, the capital, (iii) the significance of the realization of the West Africa Growth Ring Master Plan for corridor development, and (iv) the value of Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs) activities.

JICA will continue assistance for Burkina Faso in the area such as human resource, industrial development through the diversification of agricultural products and regional economic integration through infrastructure building.
