[Kenya] AFICAT Showroom is now open in Nairobi, Kenya (June 10, 2024）

At AFICAT, we already have a permanent Showroom at the Kilimanjaro Agricultural Training Center under the Ministry of Agriculture in Tanzania to showcase the advanced products and technologies of Japanese companies. Recently, we have also opened a new Showroom at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Nairobi, Kenya. As previously introduced in our newsletters, JKUAT is a prestigious national university highly regarded in the fields of agriculture and engineering, which has long been supported by the Japanese government since its establishment. Currently, experts from JICA's technical cooperation project, are dispatched to give lectures at the university. Given this background, we have received favorable cooperation from JKUAT in promoting collaboration with Japanese companies through AFICAT framework.
The Showroom currently displays products and various promotional materials (catalogs, leaflets, posters, videos, etc.) provided by 20 Japanese companies. Located on the university campus, the main visitors expected include researchers and students in the fields of agriculture and engineering, as well as public and private sector stakeholders in the agricultural sector who visit the university. By displaying QR codes linked to each company's website and an inquiry form to AFICAT, the showroom ensures that visitors interested in the products can contact the Japanese companies either directly or through AFICAT Team.
Going forward, AFICAT aims to increase the number of participating companies in the Showroom and expand its role as a hub for promoting Japanese agricultural technologies in Kenya.
