Japan Center

Activities 2. Japanese Language Courses

Developing human resources that can build bridges between the host countries and Japan

Japan Centers provide opportunities to learn the Japanese language, in order to deepen understanding of and relationships with Japan and to further increase opportunities for employment and study in Japan. Each Center delivers a systematic curriculum for Japanese language study, from beginner to advanced levels. Students on the courses develop an affinity with Japan, and many find jobs with Japanese companies, or develop closer links with Japan in other ways.

Japanese university students have held exchange meetings with students on these Japanese language courses, leading to increased links with universities and other institutions in Japan. The courses are also utilized by local staff working for Japanese companies as part of their Japanese language education.

At some Centers, the Japan Foundation has started a JF Language Course, and is providing Japanese language education jointly with the Japan Center.
