Eligibility

The contest is open to Filipino citizens of all ages and residing in the Philippines except JICA employees and immediate family members.

Contest Entry

1. Create an original short video showcasing your talent and creativity in mentioning any JICA project or activity in the Philippines. We recommend using YouTube Shorts or other free apps that do not add watermarks to the video.
2. Entries should be no more than 60 seconds in length and no more than 20 MB in size. The recommended file format is .mp4, .avi or .mov.
3. Email your video and the following details to EnriquezLaurice-PP@jica.go.jp
   - Name
   - Company/Organization/School
   - Link to Facebook account
   - Mobile number
   - Title of video
   - Name of JICA project/s featured
4. All entries will be screened if they meet the terms of this contest before being uploaded in the JICA Philippines Facebook (FB) page. JICA will only contact shortlisted participants.
5. Deadline of submissions is December 10, 2021.

Judging and Results

1. An album of the shortlisted video entries will be posted on the JICA FB page.
2. Participants are encouraged to promote their entries by getting their friends to like the JICA Philippines Facebook Page, and like and share their entry on the page.
3. Entries will be judged based on: FB shares and reactions (50%); creativity and originality (25%); clarity of message (25%).
4. Winners will be announced on FB in January 2022.

Prizes

The top three (3) entries will receive a snack box from Japan care of TokyoTreat and JICA PR merchandise. A maximum of seven (7) runners-up will also receive JICA PR merchandise.

Participants are responsible for securing permission to use copyrighted materials and consent of persons featured in their video.

By entering the contest, you remain the owner of your video and grant JICA the right to copy, edit, translate, publish, or use the video as a whole or in part in its PR materials, without compensation but with proper attribution.
