Project Outline In the Demerara-Mahaica region, where the capital of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, Georgetown, is located, this project will improve the capacity of the Guyana Water Corporation (GWI) to provide safe drinking water by building water treatment plants and water pipes that are resilient to climate change, and by strengthening the capacity to improve the ratio of Non-Revenue Water, thereby contributing to improving access to safe drinking water that meets the needs of the target area by strengthening the stable operation and financial sustainability of GWI.
