JICA President Kitaoka Holds Talks With U.S. Ambassador to Japan William F. Hagerty

JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka met with U.S. Ambassador to Japan William F. Hagerty at JICA Headquarters in Tokyo on Dec. 6.

Mr. Kitaoka and Mr. Hagerty began the talks by affirming the close relationship between the U.S. and Japan as it relates to supporting development in developing coutries. Mr. Kitaoka then talked about JICA's initiatives in the Indo-Pacific. The two men discussed future possibilities of the partnership between JICA and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the international situation in the regions in question.

JICA will continue collaborating with the U.S. to contribute to the advancement of developing countries.
