JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka met with President Macky Sall of Senegal in Tokyo on Dec. 13.
When Mr. Kitaoka began the conversation by welcoming Mr. Sall to Japan, Mr. Sall thanked him for JICA's wide-ranging cooperation. Next, the two men discussed past cooperation and its results, expectations for the future, and the important role Senegal plays in West Africa.
JICA plans to continue providing cooperation to Senegal in a variety of fields including infrastructure, agriculture, fisheries, health (universal health coverage) and education.
