JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka held talks at JICA Headquarters in Tokyo with Executive President Luis Carranza of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) on February 13.
Mr. Kitaoka began discussions by expressing the wish to further deepen relations between the two organizations through the International Development Financial Club (IDFC)*, in which both organizations participate as members of the Steering Group. There was also an exchange of ideas concerning cooperation in the field of disaster prevention, an area that both organizations are focusing on, and the development of institutional framework and fostering of human resources in the Latin America region.
JICA will continue to cooperate with CAF and promote the exchange of ideas with development banks.
