Our Mission

JICA’s Private Sector Investment Finance (PSIF) is a key instrument of impact investing that provides loans, credit guarantees, bond subscriptions and equity finance to private enterprises, financial institutions undertaking projects in developing countries with strong development impacts.
To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in these countries, an estimated annual funding gap of USD 4 trillion must be addressed, underscoring the critical importance of mobilizing private capital. Through Private Sector Investment Finance (PSIF), JICA serves as a catalyst for mobilizing private sector resources and remains committed to impact investing that pursues both financial returns and social and environmental positive outcomes.
