The Think20（T20）Japan 2019

The G20 Summit (Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy) will be held in Japan in June 2019. In conjunction with the G20, multiple engagement groups, formed according to their agenda and function, hold related events. Representatives of each engagement group are supposed to organize the debates and submit a Communiqué with policy recommendations to the representative of the G20 host country.

The Think 20 (T20) is one of these engagement groups. In the T20, think tanks from various countries discuss all sorts of policy issues and provide policy recommendations to the G20. Japan, being the host country of the G20 Summit in 2019, will also hold the T20 Summit.

About 10 task forces are formed every year as part of the T20 process. The JICA Research Institute (JICA-RI) will coordinate the following two task forces.
