Feature: Paris Nutrition for Growth Summit 2025

At the 2021 Tokyo Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit, 65 countries and 215 stakeholders pledged more than $27 billion in nutrition-related funding. The outcome document, Tokyo Compact on Global Nutrition for Growth[1], was issued, outlining concrete directions for future efforts to end malnutrition by 2030 in the five areas of health, food, resilience, accountability, and financial resources. JICA presented the JICA Nutrition Declaration[2] and contributed as part of the Tokyo N4G Summit.
Paris Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit[3] will be held on March 27th (Thu) and 28th (Fri) 2025, hosted by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Paris N4G is an important opportunity to build on the achievements in Japan and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

Showcasing JICA's initiatives at Paris N4G 2025

JICA's nutrition cooperation addresses the global “double burden of malnutrition” through both the health approach and the food/agriculture approach, under the JICA’s Global Agenda “Improving Nutrition” and “JICA Nutrition Declaration”. JICA will leverage this summit to communicate with global society on our nutrition cooperation and promote multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaboration by leveraging Japan’s experience in development as well as JICA strengths.
