COVID-19UG: Voices of JICA Ex-participants: Dr. Amone Jackson

Dr. Amone Jackson

Dr. Amone Jackson, the Commissioner, Clinical Services at the Ministry of Health attended training on the "Health Policy Development" in June, 2011 and on "Program for the Specialist of Healthcare-Associated Infection Prevention and Control" from January 14 to February 1, this year, in Japan.

Dr. Amone, also the leader of case management of COVID-19 at MoH shares that the knowledge he, together with other health workers acquired from Japan has been very essential in the fight against the pandemic.

"Currently, I'm working with several health workers who were all part of the training including; Ms. Nabawanuka Doreen of Mulago NRH, Dr. Kabbyanga Loice of Bwera District and Dr. Komakech Denis, a medical Officer at Mubende RRH training the case management team. This shows that the knowledge we acquired is very useful to the country".
