JICA hands over calibration equipment to Ministry of Health

In facilitating health workers to ensure patient safety, the Ambassador of Japan to Uganda H.E Hidemoto Fukuzawa accompanied by the Chief Representative, Mr. Fukase Yutaka handed over calibration equipment to the Minister of Health, Dr. Ruth Aceng on 15 April 2021.

The 16 sets of equipment including; maintenance tool kit, Electro-surgical unit analyzer, Portable oxygen analyser, among others, will serve machines in Regional Workshops and Regional Referral Hospitals across the country.

Dr. Aceng appreciated JICA for the continued support in Uganda's health sector and added, "This equipment has come in at the right time. A lot of it has been needed since the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country. Our workshops and various hospitals require the calibration equipment for maintenance"
