Zimbabwe welcomes New JICA Volunteers

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Zimbabwe welcomed two new JICA Volunteers to the Republic of Zimbabwe who arrived on the 23rd of July 2019 from Japan. JICA has been dispatching volunteers to Zimbabwe since 1989. New volunteers are Akifumi Yamamura, a Maths Teacher at Chaminuka Vocational Training Centre and Akira Furuuchi, a Judo Coach at Judo Association of Zimbabwe.

The two new volunteers are ready to embark on their new journey working in Zimbabwe. Best wishes to all of them as they help promote sharing of technical knowledge and skills, as well as mutual understanding and friendship between the Zimbabwe and Japan.

The dispatch of these latest volunteers reaffirms the commitment of the government of Japan to vigorously pursue its positive contribution to the social and economic development of Zimbabwe.
