MEKONG: Old Splendors, New Challenges

The Mekong region has some of the world's most cherished cultural monuments: the temples of Angkor in Cambodia, the ruins of Bagan in Myanmar and the old capital of Luang Prabang in Laos.

Splendors of the Mekong

It is overflowing in natural resources and the Mekong River itself has an incredible 1,300 fish varieties. The area is so rich that several new species of fish were recently discovered.
