概要｜Outline
「アフリカ地域 市場志向型農業振興（普及員）」コースでは、小規模農家が作物を「作ってから売る」のではなく、「売るために作る」という手法（SHEPアプローチ）や市場志向型農業の基本的な考え方を基に、市場ニーズに対応した野菜栽培技術、流通・販売方法および普及手法について学びます。演習や圃場実験に加え、講義や視察も取り入れ、帰国後活動を見据えながら実践的に学びます。
“Market-oriented Agriculture Promotion for Extension Officer in Africa” provides practical learning of market-oriented agriculture, especially vegetable cultivation techniques, marketing and extension methods. This program is composed of a lot of hands-on-training, more than 50 % in the total curriculum, focusing on vegetable cultivation techniques. Through the program in Japan, participants will learn the essence of SHEP Approach through lectures, participative workshop and field visits. At the end of the program, participants will compile their learning as a report.

This course is open to people interested in assisting developing countries in the field of agriculture and rural development.
JICA海外協力隊の合格者を対象に、現地赴任前に野菜栽培技術のブラッシュアップするためにこのコースに一部参加することができます。
Candidates for JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteers can attend part of this course to brush up on vegetable cultivation techniques before being dispatched overseas.
