20カ国の外国人が地元プロサッカーチーム「ロアッソ熊本」を応援！

7月16日、熊本市内のえがお健康スタジアムで行われたサッカーJ2リーグ戦に、熊本県内の在住外国人を招待するイベントを開催しました。この取り組みは、在住外国人の地域理解や異文化理解を促進するために、ロアッソ熊本とJICA九州が共同して実施したものです。

会場では県内の高校生ボランティアがパネル展示を行いました。熊本県の多文化共生の概要、在住外国人の主要な出身国（ベトナム、インドネシア、ネパール）の紹介、世界中の言葉で伝える「がんばれ！」等をパネル掲載し、日本語と英語で来場者に多文化共生の重要性を説明しました。
高校生自身にとっても、熊本県の在住外国人事情や多文化共生について学び、関心を高めるきっかけとなりました。

また、在住外国人グループによる屋台も特別出店され、ベトナムサンドイッチやスリランカカレー等、購入者がこれらの国々に関心を持ちながら郷土料理を堪能しました。

観戦には、定員の200名を大きく上回る274名が参加しました。
「どの国から来たの？」「熊本で何をしているの？」といった質問から日本人との交流が生まれ、参加した在住外国人からは「素晴らしい機会を得た」、「地元チームを知りファンになった」等の感想が寄せられました。ロアッソ熊本からも感謝の意が表明されました。
JICA九州は今後も、地域住民と在住外国人の交流を促進するための取り組みを進めていきます！

Foreign Residents from 20 Countries Cheered the Local Football Team “Roasso Kumamoto”!

On 16th July, an event was held to invite foreign residents in Kumamoto to a J2 League football match in Kumamoto City. This event was jointly organised by “Roasso Kumamoto” and JICA Kyushu to promote cross-cultural understanding and local understanding among foreign residents.

High school students from Kumamoto presented a panel exhibition at the event as volunteers. In the exhibition, an overview of multicultural coexistence in Kumamoto, introductions to the main countries of origin of foreign residents (Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal), “Ganbare!” in different languages from around the world etc. were explained to convey the importance of multicultural coexsistence to visitors in both Japanese and English.
For the students themselves, the event provided an opportunity to learn about the situation of foreigners living in Kumamoto and multicultural coexsistence.

A special food stall was also set up by a group of foreign residents. Visitors enjoyed Vietnamese and Sri Lankan dishes while taking an interest in these countries.

A total of 274 people attended the spectacle, well more than expected.
“Which country are you from?” “What are you doing in Kumamoto?” Japanese visitors asked the foreign participants, and it triggered their conversation. It was also a great opportunity for foreign residents to become the fans of Roasso Kumamoto. Roasso Kumamoto also expressed their gratitude.
