日本文化を学ぶ一日（小金井中学校と東京江戸たてもの園訪問）

On Friday, November 25, Koganei junior high school attached Tokyo Gakugei University invited JICA participants studying at graduate schools in Japan to their English classes introducing Japanese culture in English.

Topics ranged from Japanese morals learned from Japanese folktales, earthquake countermeasures, different meanings of the same Japanese word, Ghibli movies, and much more. All groups gave very creative presentations. The participants listened attentively to the presentations from the unique perspectives of junior high school students.

After that, they visited Edo-Tokyo Open-Air Architectural Museum. Houses and shops with cultural and historical value from the Edo period to the Showa period have been relocated and restored, you can get a glimpse of the way of life at that time.

Some of the buildings were used as models for Ghibli movies, and the participants felt that as if they were transported back in time.

Also, everyone enjoyed the autumn leaves of Japan with their new friends at Koganei Park adjacent to the museum and seems refreshed.

Throughout the day, they learnt about Japan in the Edo, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras.

11月25日（金）、日本の大学院で学ぶJICA研修員10名は、学芸大学付属小金井中学校と東京江戸たてもの園を訪問しました。小金井中学校では、中学校の英語の授業の一環として、英語で日本文化紹介を行っており、JICA研修員をご招待いただきました。

日本の昔ばなしから学ぶ日本人のモラル、地震時の対策、同じ日本語での意味の違い、ジブリ映画等、様々なトピックスがあり、どのグループも、それぞれ素晴らしい表現力で、とても工夫されたプレゼンテーションとなっていました。中学生ならではのとてもユニークな観点からの日本文化紹介に、研修員たちも耳を傾けていました。

その後、東京江戸たてもの園を訪問しました。この博物館には、江戸時代から昭和中期に建てられた文化的、歴史的に価値の高い建造物である住宅や、商店が移築・復元されています。

ここでは、当時の暮らしぶりをうかがい知ることができます。ジブリ映画のモデルとなっている建物もあり、研修員たちは、まるで歴史の中にワープしたかのように感じていました。

博物館に隣接の小金井公園では、新しい友人たちとともに、日本の秋の紅葉も満喫し、またリフレッシュした様子でした。
