2025年8月、米国Janji社より、113,656USDの寄附金をいただきました。 米国Janji社は、米国に本社を持つ衣料品メーカーであり、企業の社会的責任の観点から安全な水へのアクセス拡大に資する取り組みへの貢献を企業のミッションに掲げられています。
本寄附金は、Janji社が水衛生活動への支援への貢献として、現地の人々や行政機関による持続的な活動を目指して協力事業を行う JICA の支援に共感したという経緯からJICA が行う水衛生分野の協力に対し、寄附の申し出があったものです。弊機構が今までいただいている寄附金の中で、海外の民間企業からの寄附は今回が初めてとなります。
今回いただいた寄附金は、モザンビーク国ニアッサ州持続的給水システム及び衛生促進プロジェクトでの給水施設建設に活用させていただくことで、より多くの人々に安全な飲み水を提供することができます。
弊機構では、国際協力事業をご支援いただける多様な企業や組織の皆さまと共に、今後も寄附金事業を進めて参ります。

Donation from Janji Inc. in the United States (August 2025)
In August 2025, JICA received a generous donation of USD 113,656 from Janji Inc., a U.S.-based apparel company dedicated to expanding access to safe water as a part of its corporate social responsibility mission.
This donation reflects Janji’s strong commitment to supporting water and sanitation initiatives. Inspired by JICA’s efforts to promote sustainable activities through collaboration with local communities and governments, Janji expressed its interest in contributing to JICA’s water and sanitation projects. This marks the first donation which JICA has received from a private company outside Japan.
The donated fund will be used to construct water supply facilities under the Project on Promoting Sustainability of Water Supply System and Sanitation in Niassa Province in the Republic of Mozambique for providing safe drinking water to more people.
JICA remains committed to advancing projects funded by donations under partnerships with diverse companies and organizations that support JICA’s international cooperation efforts.
