Good day to everyone. My name is EL-KHALED DANGLI GORDOLAN from General Santos City, Philippines, I extend my warmest congratulations to JICA Okinawa International Center (JICA OIC) on its 40th Founding Anniversary. Your dedication, perseverance, and ultimately, your success are truly commendable and inspiring. This accomplishment serves as a testament to your hard work and commitment, and it sets a shining example for us all.
皆さん、こんにちは。JICA沖縄センターの設立40周年を心からお祝い申し上げます。皆様の献身、忍耐、そして最終的な成功は、本当に称賛に値するものであり、感動的なものです。 この快挙は、皆さんの努力と献身を証明するものであり、私たちの輝かしい手本となるものです。
My own experience participating in the intensive training program at the JICA OIC from August 16, 2022, to November 29, 2022, profoundly impacted my professional development and personal growth. The program, focused on "Practical Plant Quarantine Techniques for Export of Agricultural Products (Treatment for Disinfestation of Fruit Flies)," was more than just a course; it was a transformative journey. Okinawa's unique cultural richness and stunning natural beauty provided an enriching backdrop for this intensive learning experience.
2022年8月16日から11月29日までJICA沖縄で行われた研修プログラムに参加した経験は、私の専門的な成長と個人的な成長に大きな影響を与えました。「農産物輸出のための実践的植物検疫技術（ミバエ類殺虫技術）」をテーマとしたこのプログラムは、単なる研修ではなく、変容の旅でした。沖縄独特の豊かな文化と美しい自然は、この学習体験を豊かなものにしました。
The training significantly enhanced my expertise in crucial plant quarantine techniques, including vapor heat treatment, cold treatment, and fumigation for agricultural exports. These skills are directly applicable to my daily responsibilities at the Bureau of Plant Industry – National Plant Quarantine Services Division. I now approach challenges with greater confidence and efficiency, utilizing these techniques to ensure the safety and quality of Philippine agricultural exports. The program's emphasis on practical application has been particularly valuable in my role, which includes overseeing plant quarantine treatments such as vapor heat treatment and fumigation and issuing phytosanitary certificates for international shipments. Beyond the technical skills, the collaborative environment fostered during the training significantly improved my teamwork abilities. This has resulted in increased productivity, a more positive work atmosphere, and enhanced collaboration within my department. The knowledge and skills gained extend beyond specific tasks, fostering a deeper understanding of plant quarantine's vital role in protecting both domestic agriculture and international trade.
この研修は、農産物輸出のための蒸気熱処理、低温処理、燻蒸など、植物検疫技術に関する私の専門知識を大幅に向上させました。これらの技術は、植物産業局‐国家植物検疫サービス課での日々の職務に直接生かすことができます。私は今、フィリピンの農産物輸出の安全性と品質を確保するためにこれらの技術を活用し、より大きな自信と効率で課題に取り組んでいます。蒸熱処理や燻蒸などの植物検疫処理の監督や、国際貨物の植物検疫証明書の発行など、実践的な応用に重点を置いたこのプログラムは、私の職務において特に役立っています。技術的なスキルだけでなく、研修中に培われた協力的な環境は、私のチームワーク能力を大幅に向上させました。その結果、生産性が向上し、職場の雰囲気が前向きになり、部署内の協力体制が強化されました。得られた知識とスキルは特定の業務にとどまらず、国内農業と国際貿易の両方を保護する植物検疫の重要な役割に対する理解を深めることができました。
The opportunity to learn from leading experts and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds was invaluable. I am deeply grateful for this exceptional training opportunity and its lasting impact on my professional growth and contributions to the BPI-NPQSD. The knowledge and skills acquired will continue to shape my work, enabling me to contribute more effectively to the Bureau's mission and the advancement of Philippine agriculture. Arigatou gozaimasu.
