春の到来、自然の生命力を感じるオーケストラの調べに感激する研修員 Participants are impressed by the orchestra's music with feeling of the advent of spring and vitality of nature

東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団より国際交流事業の一環として、JICA研修員を2月の定期演奏会にご招待いただき、フィリピン、ガーナ、ザンビア、マレーシア、モンゴル、モーリタニア、タンザニア、ブータンの研修員１０名が参加しました。

春らしい陽気が一転して凍えるような冷たい風の吹く2月27日、一流のオーケストラの音楽を聴くのを楽しみに研修員が集合しました。
２月の定期演奏会は春の到来を感じさせるベートーヴェンの交響曲第６番『田園』と、ストラヴィンスキーのバレエ音楽『春の祭典』。
田園や小川のほとりの情景と、自然に触れた人々の晴れやかな気持ち、嵐と嵐が去った喜びなど、自然を愛するベートーヴェンの豊かな表現が鮮やかに感じられる演奏を、研修員は目を輝かせて堪能していました。
古代ロシアの自然信仰や神への儀式がテーマの「春の祭典」はキレの良い巨匠チョン・ミュンフンの指揮が素晴らしく、真剣な眼差しで一音一音に聴き入る研修員たち。
作曲家ストラヴィンスキーは1959年に来日し、約1か月滞在、自作を指揮した他に日本の作曲家の作品を聴き、当時は未だ無名だった武満徹を高く評価して彼が世界に羽ばたくきっかけを与えた縁があったそうですが、タケミツメモリアルと命名されたオペラシティのホールで、アジアの若い才能の発掘にも活躍する巨匠チョン・ミュンフン指揮の『春の祭典』を聴くことができて本当に光栄だった、と研修員に同行したJICA音楽部の職員も感激していました。
いつも研修員に言葉を超えた音楽の素晴らしさを体験する機会をくださる東京フィルハーモニーの皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。

・東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団の皆さま、JICA研修員に素晴らしい経験を提供してくださったことに深く感謝します。日本でオーケストラのクラシックコンサートに参加するのは初めてでしたが、マエストロ チョン・ミョンフンの指揮を目の当たりにすることができ、本当に光栄でした。特にコンサートの第2部では畏敬の念を抱き、興奮で胸が高鳴りました。貴楽団の音楽は私の心と魂を若返らせてくれました。忘れられない機会をありがとうございました。

・子どもの頃の私の夢はヴァイオリンかサックス奏者になることで、小学校と高校の時に学校の吹奏楽部で弾いていました。当時は夢に生きていましたが、道が変わり、別のキャリアを選ぶようになりました。コンサートホールに入り舞台を目にして、世界的に有名な東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団の観客として子どもの頃の思いを満たすことができ、喜びでいっぱいでした。私は演奏のすべてに深い畏敬の念を抱きました。全公演の中で、聞き逃した部分は一つもありません。真に美しいハーモニーを奏でる音楽に、終演が近づく頃には涙を止めることができませんでした。一生忘れることのない機会を本当にありがとうございました。貴方方の音楽はまさに魂を養ってくれるものです。

Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra invited JICA participants to a subscription concert in February as part of their international exchange program. 10 participants from the Philippines, Ghana, Zambia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mauritania, Tanzania, and Bhutan attended.

On February 27, the spring-like weather turned to a freezing cold wind, and the participants gathered to enjoy the music of the top orchestra in Japan.
The February subscription concert featured Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 "The Countryside", which evokes the arrival of spring, and Stravinsky's ballet music "The Rite of Spring“.
The participants' eyes sparkled as they enjoyed the performance, which vividly expressed Beethoven's deep love of nature, including scenes of countryside and streams, the sunny feelings of people touched by nature, and the joy of storms and the passing of storms.
The Rite of Spring," with its theme of ancient Russian nature beliefs and rituals for the gods, was wonderfully conducted by the master conductor Chung Moon-hoon, and the participants listened to every single note with serious eyes.
The composer Stravinsky visited Japan in 1959 and stayed for about a month, conducting his own works and listening to the works of Japanese composers, and he had a connection with Toru Takemitsu, who was still unknown at that time, and gave him the opportunity to spread his wings to the world by highly evaluating him. The JICA Music Department staff member who accompanied the participants was thrilled to be able to listen to "The Rite of Spring" conducted by Chung Mun-Hoon, a master conductor who is also active in discovering young Asian talents, at the Opera City Hall, named the Taketomi Memorial.

Since I was a kid, I have always dreamt of becoming a professional violinist or saxophonist. When I was in elementary and high school I was able to join our school's drum and lyre group. I was living my dream back then, not until the path changed and I went on a different career.
