【研修コース】帰国研修員からのメッセージー日本での留学生活を終えてー

かつてJICA北海道（帯広）での研修に参加し、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大という困難の中で自国で奮闘する帰国研修員たちから届いたメッセージをご紹介します。今回は、マダガスカルのラザさんからのメッセージです。

日本での留学生活を終えて

日本での約3年間の留学生活は、今思い返すとあっという間に感じられます。1つ1つが言葉では言い表せないほどに、かけがえのない思い出となりました。指導教員の花田先生をはじめ、友人たち、JICA、JICE（日本国際協力センター）のスタッフ等、私の日本滞在を素晴らしいものにしてくれた全てのみなさまに、改めて感謝を申し上げます。大学や地域の人々との交流や日々の暮らしを通じてたくさんのことを学ぶことができ、その中でも特に「日本人のものの考え方」はとても印象深いものでした。留学中は研究活動等で日本各地へ訪れる機会があり、その度に、他者を敬う姿勢、時間の正確さ、誠実な対応、おもてなしの心など、数多くの日本の価値観を目の当たりにし、学ぶことが出来ました。また、日本の数々の美しい景色を目の当たりにする機会にも恵まれました。自然と伝統、高い技術を上手に組み合わせる日本人の知恵に、ただただ驚くばかりでした。

私は留学先である帯広畜産大学で、最先端の研究機材を用いて主に家畜栄養について研究しました。十勝・帯広地域は広大な農業地帯である利点を生かし、直接農家さんと会って教わることも出来ました。みなさんの好意や親切さ、ホスピタリティに感動し、思い出すたびに心が温まります。この小さく美しい街は、夏には近隣でサイクリングを、冬にはスキーを楽しむことができる素敵な場所です。特にスキーは私のお気に入りの趣味の1つになりました。

私には将来に多くの成し遂げたいことや、情熱をささげたいことがあります。今後は、農家支援のための農業発展プロジェクトにも関わっていく予定で、現在はマダガスカルの環境被害を減らすための活動をする企業を誘致しているところです。日本で得た経験をできる限り同僚たちと共有し、更には日本で築くことができた企業・団体とのつながりを活かして国益をもたらせるような活動をしていきたいです。

Thank you for studying abroad life in Japan

How time flies when we appreciate every moment!! Three years of living in Japan have been more than memorable. I thank again all my friends, my sensei, JICA and JICE (Japan International Cooperation Center) members and all the people I have met, who made my stay a very nice experience.
I was able to learn a lot of things, especially the Japanese mindset in general through my interactions and everyday life.
My travels in different places of Japan made me observe and learn about respect, punctuality, integrity, hospitality... and so many other values. I had also the chance to contemplate the beautiful and diverse landscapes of Japan. I was particularly astounded by the Japanese ability to combine nature, tradition and high technology.

In Obihiro, in particular, I had the chance to study animal nutrition at the university (Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine) with the most advanced research tools. The place in general is an agricultural area, allowing me to meet the farmers and learn from them.
The friendliness, kindness and hospitality of people in general impressed me and always warms my heart whenever I think about it. I find this small town very beautiful, whether in summer where you can enjoy cycling around, or in winter when you can enjoy skiing. I enjoyed skiing so much, it was one of my favorite hobbies.

I have plenty of ambition and enthusiasm for the future.
My principle is to share as much as possible the experiences that I have acquired in Japan as well as to make the country benefit from the various connections that I was able to make with the various companies and institutions in Japan.
I will also be involved in projects of Agriculture development to help farmers.
I am currently waiting for a company to come to Madagascar to help the country lessen the damage on the environment.
