【研修コース】北見工業大学のJICA長期研修員が母国インドネシアのガジャ・マダ大学で講義

2024年4月から北見工業大学大学院の博士課程で研究生活を送るJICA長期研修員のクロフマン ノヴィクさんが母国インドネシアのジョグジャカルタ市にあるガジャ・マダ大学土木工学科にて講義をしました。
本講義は同大学の学士、修士、博士課程の学生に向けて、土木工学分野の重要な概念、最近の進展、新たな傾向について幅広く理解してもらうと同時に、批判的思考と倫理観を養うことを企図しています。受講生は、実社会における課題、学際領域における連関、工学が持つ社会インパクトに触れることができます。更に業界の専門家や教授陣とのネットワーキングの機会も提供し、将来の研究やキャリアの追求を促し、学生がこの分野の将来の課題に取り組めるよう準備することを目的として実施されています。
ノヴィクさんよりコメント
主な発表内容は、「ホタテ貝殻と二酸化炭素ナノバブル（微細気泡）を用いた新しいコンクリート補修方法」についてです。
講義の目的は、北見工業大学（KIT）のインフラ研究室の最新の研究動向を共有することや、北見での博士課程学生としての生活についてお話しすること、そして日本の北海道の美しい自然を紹介することでした。
講義とその後のパネルディスカッションでは、建設的なフィードバックや貴重なアイデアをいただき、今後の研究に大いに役立つものになりました。さらに、参加者の皆さんは、私の研究の最終成果に対して大きな熱意と好奇心を示してくれました。

What about the Event/Lecture
A general lecture aims to provide students with a broad understanding of key concepts, recent advancements, and emerging trends in the civil engineering field while fostering critical thinking and ethical awareness. The participants were bachelor, master, and doctoral students at the Department of Civil Engineering, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. These lectures expose students to real-world challenges, interdisciplinary connections, and the societal impact of engineering projects. Additionally, they offer networking opportunities with industry professionals and faculty, helping to inspire future research and career pursuits and preparing students to tackle future challenges in the field.

A message from Novik san
I had the privilege of presenting my research on a novel concrete repair methodology using scallop shells and carbon dioxide nanobubbles during a general lecture at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, one of Indonesia’s top three public universities. The lecture aimed to share the latest research trends from the Infra Laboratory at Kitami Institute of Technology (KIT), offer insights into life as a doctoral student in Kitami, and present the natural beauty life of Hokkaido Island in Japan. I was grateful to receive constructive feedback and valuable ideas during the lecture and the subsequent discussion panel, which will significantly enhance my future research. Moreover, the participants showed great enthusiasm and curiosity about the final results of my work. I sincerely appreciate my supervisor, Professor Choi Heesup, for his unwavering support and guidance throughout this journey.
